Description

    The “Emex”Silicatic Wall Primer is a dispersion product, hydro-soluble, based on potassium silicate and specific additives for preparing the surfaces with mineral base, interior or exterior. After drying, the product penetrates the depth of the support, forming one piece with it thus providing a great resistance of the surface. It is intended for preparing the surfaces only prior to application the silicate emulsion paints. For removing the dampness or the existing molds it will use “Emex”Forte Sanitizer.

Utilization Domains

    The “Emex”Silicate Primer for Walls is used for preparing the interior surfaces of civil and industrial buildings, new or old, walls or ceilings of different structures, in order to cover with silicate emulsion paints.

     It is used as intermediary layer for covering the following types of surfaces: concrete, masonry, lime and cement plasters, compact and resistant old plasters, absorbent mineral conglomerates of any type, mineral old paintings, dry, compact and absorbent paintings.

    It will not be applied on gypsum boards, lime or gypsum plasters and polishing plaster coats, old layers of paint rich in resin, synthetic materials and resins, acrylic paints, glue or casein paints, varnishes, oil paints, etc.

    It is recommended to remove any old paint and preliminary test each type of support on which the primer will be applied and subsequently the silicate paint.

    Taking into consideration that the final layer is a silicate emulsion paint, the preparation of the support, prior to application the silicate primer, will be done only by polishing. There will not be used acrylic polishable base coats that are only partial compatible with the primer or the silicate paints.

     The application of this primer is strictly limited to: “Emex”Interior Silicate Emulsion Paint, “Emex”Exterior Silicate Emulsion Paint and “Emex”Silicate Decorative Plaster.
