Description

     The “Emex” Alkyd base coat for wood and ironware is a standard monocomponent product, based on alkyd resin, organic solvents, pigments, specific additives, fillers and last generation ecologic anti wormhole agents used as initial layer in protection of wood surfaces exposed or not to the weather conditions, both in indoor conditions, as outdoor. It has a good adherence and resistance and a preventive action against fungi, molds and bacteria that attack wood. It can be colored in the characteristic colors: yellow, red, white.

Utilization Domains

     The“Emex” Alkyd base coat for ironware is intended for domestic or industrial use for protection of wood surfaces, interior or exterior.

     The product is used for covering and protection (against wormholes, etc.) of new wood surfaces or surfaces cleaned of any previous coatings.

     It is used as final layer in protection systems for wood hand-made furniture, for interior or garden, paneling, eaves, cases, panels, beams, ply, panel, OSB, plywood, other wood surfaces.

     The surfaces covered with this type of base coat for wood can be painted later with any emails or decorative paints based on fat alkyd resins as: - Premium “Emex Gold” alkyd enamel, - “Emex” EXTRACOLOR enamel or - “Emcolor” Enameled paint, or it can be varnished, keeping the basic color of the base coat with - “Emex” Alkyd varnish for wood.

     Wood surfaces that are to be covered with “Emex” base coat ironware are polished with abrasive paper with medium granulation, until all roughness are removed and the resulted dust is removed with soft bristle brushes, fabric cleaning rag, or by aspiration.

     You should bear in mind the removal of any dirt or fats traces impregnated in fiber; other previous protections will be removed completely by scarping with solutions such as - “Emex CM Cleaner” Remover, or - “Emex PC ECO” Ecological Remover and will be polished with abrasive paper and the resulted dust will be removed.
